Ventro Analytics Inc. ("Ventro", "we", "us") is a Canadian spatial technology company. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Information you give us. When you use a form or tool on this site, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that can include your name, work email, company, phone number, role, the service or topic you chose, your message, and the answers or figures you enter into a tool such as a calculator or an assessment.
The site assistant. If you use the assistant, we keep the conversation. Your messages are processed by a third-party AI provider in order to generate replies. If you give your name and email to continue a conversation, we keep those too. Please do not share sensitive personal information in the assistant.
Consent records. Whether you agreed to receive marketing email, the exact wording you agreed to, and the date and time you agreed.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view, to operate and secure the site, and we use cookieless, aggregate analytics to understand how it is used. Some pages load interactive maps from a third-party mapping platform, which receives the technical information needed to display them.
We send marketing email only to people who have agreed to receive it, and we ask in plain language at the point where you decide:
In every case we record what you agreed to, word for word, with the date and time.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send, or by emailing info@ventro.ca. We honour requests within 10 business days. Unsubscribing does not stop messages about something you asked for, such as the link to a study you requested.
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf, under agreements that require them to protect it: website hosting, secure database hosting, email delivery, our customer relationship management system, analytics, the AI provider behind the site assistant, and the mapping platform behind our interactive maps.
Some of these providers operate outside Canada, including in the United States, where your information may be subject to local law. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
For as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet our legal, accounting, and business requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. To exercise these rights, email info@ventro.ca. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not build profiles of you. Our analytics are cookieless and aggregate: page views, referring sites, the general region a visit came from, and whether a feature was used. Nothing that identifies you personally, which is why the site does not ask you to accept cookies. You can control cookies and site data through your browser settings at any time.
Our website and services are intended for businesses and professionals, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date above, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to let affected people know.
