How Ventro Analytics collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information, and how you can opt out of marketing email at any time.

Last updated: July 9, 2026

Who we are

Ventro Analytics Inc. ("Ventro", "we", "us") is a Canadian location-intelligence company. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and other privacy laws that apply to where our clients are located.

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at info@ventro.ca.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in a form on our site, we collect what you enter:

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view) to operate and secure the site. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

Maps. Some pages display interactive maps served by Esri (the ArcGIS platform). When you view those pages, your browser contacts Esri to load map tiles, which is subject to Esri's own privacy practices.

How we use your information

Marketing email and how to unsubscribe

We send marketing email only to people who have agreed to receive it. There are two ways that can happen, and both are stated in plain language at the moment you decide:

In both cases we record what you agreed to, word for word, along with the date and time.

You can withdraw your consent and stop marketing email at any time:

We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, and unsubscribe links stay active for at least 60 days after a message is sent, as required by CASL. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential messages that relate to a service you requested (for example, the personal link to a study you asked for).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run our business, under agreements that require them to protect it:

Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or to protect our legal rights.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described above and to meet our legal, accounting, and business requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information. Sensitive keys and credentials are kept on our servers and never exposed in the browser. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA and similar laws, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. To exercise these rights, email info@ventro.ca. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. There are no advertising pixels on this site, we do not build profiles of you, and we do not sell or share your information for targeted advertising.

To understand how the site is used, we use Plausible Analytics. Plausible is privacy-first and cookieless: it stores nothing on your device, does not track you across other websites, and reports only aggregate figures such as page views, referring sites, the country or region a visit came from, and whether a page feature was used. It does not collect information that identifies you personally, which is why the site does not ask you to accept cookies.

You can control cookies and site data through your browser settings at any time. Blocking them may affect how parts of the site work.

Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and professionals, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to let affected people know.

Contact us

Questions, requests, or complaints about your privacy can be sent to info@ventro.ca. If you are in Canada and are not satisfied with our response, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

READY WHEN YOU ARE

Bring us a site, asset, or project challenge.

Thirty minutes with our team. Bring the project and the decision in front of it, and we will walk you through how Ventro would approach the geospatial side: GIS and spatial analysis, mapping, project data, reality capture, or a model of the built environment. Direct for owners and municipalities, or under your contract as the GIS specialist on the team.

Capturelaser scanning, drone mapping, 360 documentation, as-builts
GeoGIS and spatial analysis for infrastructure, energy, land, and municipalities
Twindigital twins, scan to BIM, as-built drawings
